The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC ('Company')

Acquisition 

The Company announces that its subsidiary company Opal Telecom Limited ('Opal')  entered into an agreement on 11 March 2009 to acquire the business and  certain assets of the Airtime Group Limited ('TAG') for £752,360,  payable in cash on completion. The transaction is conditional upon it being approved by the shareholders of TAG and the anticipated completion date is 1 April 2009.

TAG is the main operating subsidiary of Canisp PLC and supplies fixed line communications services to corporate and residential customers in the UK.
