Director Shareholding

Sir Brian Pitman, Non-Executive Director, has notified the Company that he has
exercised an option to acquire 9,687 ordinary shares in the Company at a price
of 100p per share as a result of his participation in the Company Sharesave
Scheme.  This takes his total interest in shares in the Company to 14,687
shares, representing less than 0.01% of the issued share capital.
