Further to the announcement on 25th March 2002, the Company is pleased to
announce that the appointment of Hans Snook as Non-Executive Chairman of the
Company became effective on 1 May 2002. Prior to this he was the Chief Executive
Officer of Orange PLC until 3rd August 2001.

On 1 May 2002 he also formally notified the Company pursuant to Section 324 of
the Companies Act 1985, that he was awarded on 25 March 2002 one million share
options under the Company's Executive Incentive Scheme at 80 pence per share
with a three year vesting period.

There is no other information of the kind set out in paragraphs 6. F.2 (b) to
(g) of the Listing Rules relating to Hans Snook that is required to be disclosed
under paragraph 16.4.
