The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC ('Company') 

Notification of Major Interests in Shares

David Ross notified the Company on 15th June 2009 that on 11th June 2009 he sold
22,160,914 shares in the Company. After such transaction his total shareholding in the
Company is 155,204,845 shares representing 16.98% of the Company's issued share
capital.

Mr Ross has confirmed to the Company there is no current intention of making any further
sales of shares.
