          ANNOUCEMENT DATE FOR PRELIMINARY STATEMENT OF ANNUAL RESULTS



The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC will announce the preliminary statement of its
annual results for 2002 on 6 June 2002 and not 5 June 2002 as previously stated.

This change accounts for the Golden Jubilee Bank Holiday on 3 June 2002 and the
Spring Bank Holiday on 4 June 2002 in the UK.
