Board Change
The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC announces that Guy Johnson has today resigned
as a Director and employee of the Company.
Guy joined The Carphone Warehouse in 1989. He has been predominately
responsible for product distribution and logisitics in the UK. His
responsibilities have been allocated to senior managers in the purchasing and
logistics department.
Guy currently holds 92.76 million shares in the Company. He has agreed that
for a period of two years from today that he will not sell any of his shares
without the prior consent of the Board of Directors.
Charles Dunstone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said: 'Guy has been
with Carphone Warehouse since soon after the business was established. He is a
good friend and he leaves with our best wishes. Over the past year, much of
Guy's responsibilities have been progressively devolved to other members of
his team. He is therefore able to leave without affecting the continuing
operation and growth of the business. We wish him every success in the
future.'
