CHANGE OF PRINCIPAL PLACE OF BUSINESS IN HONG KONG

AND

 AGENT FOR THE SERVICE OF PROCESS IN HONG KONG

The board of directors (the 'Board') of Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the 'Company') would like to announce that with effect from 24 March 2009, (i) the Company's agent for the service of process in Hong Kong as required under Part XI of the Companies Ordinance (Chapter 32 of the Laws of Hong Kong) has been changed from Huen Wong & Co. in association with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP to Stephen Mok & Co; and (ii) the principal place of business of the Company in Hong Kong has been changed to 21/F, ICBC Tower, Citibank Plaza, 3 Garden Road, Hong Kong.
