A Block Listing application has been made to the Irish Stock Exchange and to the
UK Listing Authority for 520,000 Ordinary Shares of EUR 0.25 each in the capital
of DCC plc to be re-admitted to the Official List of the Irish Stock Exchange
and the Official List of the UK Listing Authority, and application has been made
to the Irish Stock Exchange and to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to
be re-admitted to trading.



The shares, which are currently being held by the Company as treasury shares and
being reserved under the Block Listing, will be re-issued pursuant to the DCC
plc 1998 Employee Share Option Scheme.



When re-issued, these shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the
existing fully paid ordinary shares at the date of re-issue.
