DCC plc

DCC plc has today received a notification dated 3 December 2003 from Bank of
Ireland Asset Management Limited, pursuant to Section 67 of the Companies Act
1990, that Bank of Ireland Asset Management Limited has a notifiable interest 
in 9,728,522 shares of €0.25 each in DCC plc, representing 11.03% of the 
Company's issued share capital.

Of this holding, 9,155,512 shares are registered in the name of Bank of Ireland
Nominees Limited, 404,112 shares are registered in the name of Nortrust
Nominees, 136,838 shares are registered in the name of Citibank Nominees 
Limited and 32,060 shares are registered in the name of ABN AMRO Mellon 
Nominees Limited, as registered owners only, on behalf of a range of clients 
who are each the beneficial owner of a portion of the shareholding.
