DCC plc received on 19 July 2004 a notification dated 14 July 2004 from Bank of
Ireland Asset Management Limited, pursuant to Section 67 of the Companies Act
1990, that Bank of Ireland Asset Management Limited has a holding of 9,676,817
shares of €0.25 each in DCC plc, representing 10.97% of the Company's issued
share capital.
Of this holding, 9,003,254 shares are registered in the name of Bank of Ireland
Nominees Limited, 401,238 shares are registered in the name of Nortrust
Nominees, 126,464 shares are registered in the name of Citibank Nominees
Limited, 107,885 shares are registered in the name of Royal Bank of Scotland
International and 37,976 shares are registered in the name of Mellon Nominees
Limited, as registered owners only, on behalf of a range of clients who are
each the beneficial owner of a portion of the shareholding.
