A letter from Bank of Ireland Securities Services Limited dated 2 October 2002
to the Irish Stock Exchange, received by the Irish Stock Exchange on the 4

In refer to Chapter 2 of Part IV of the Companies Act 1990, which requires
disclosure of certain interests in Public Limited Companies to the Exchange.

of the following amendment to our holding in DCC Ordinary Stock:

Of these shares 8,719,266 units are registered in the name of Bank of Ireland
Nominees Limited, 58,342 units are registered in the name of Nortrust Nominees

registered  owners only, on behalf of a range of clients who are each the
beneficial owner of a portion of the shareholding.
