In conformity with Regulation 20 of the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC)
Regulations 2007, DCC plc announces that as of 31 August 2007:

DCC plc's total issued share capital consists of 88,229,404 ordinary shares of
€0.25 each with voting rights. This includes 7,729,342 ordinary shares held as
Treasury shares, which do not carry voting rights.

Therefore the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights is 80,500,062
and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of DCC plc
under the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007 and the Interim
Transparency Rules.
