AGM Statement

De La Rue PLC 28 July 2005 DE LA RUE PLC 2005 AGM STATEMENT At the Annual General Meeting of De La Rue plc to be held today, Nicholas Brookes, Chairman, will be making the following statement: 'Trading during the first four months of the year has been in line with the Board's expectations. The Currency business has benefited from a high opening order book which has provided good visibility to the first half. As noted in May, however, the banknote business does not expect the high level of banknote overspill orders and favourable customer mix, seen in the second half of 2004/ 2005, to be repeated in the current year.' 'Our expectations for the full year 2005/2006 therefore remain unchanged.' -ends- For further information please contact: Stephen King Group Finance Director +44 (0)1256 605307 Mark Fearon Head of Corporate Affairs +44 (0)1256 605303 Richard Mountain Financial Dynamics +44 (0)207 269 7291 28 July 2005 Note to Editors: 1.
