De La Rue plc's Directors' Interests


De La Rue plc (the 'Company') was notified today, 1 March 2006, that the De La
Rue Qualifying Employee Share Ownership (the 'Trust') on 1 March 2006
transferred 494,053 shares of 27 7/9p each in the Company pursuant to the
exercise of options under the De La Rue Sharesave Scheme. The number of De La
Rue plc shares now held by the Trust is 405,947, 0.24% of the issued share
capital.

Following the above transaction Mr L M Quinn, Chief Executive and Mr S A King,
Group Finance Director, have an interest in the balance held by the Trust as
potential beneficiaries of the Trust.
