APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
De La Rue plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Warren East as a non-
executive director of the Company with effect from 9 January 2007.
In 2001, Mr East was appointed Chief Executive of ARM Holdings plc, the
developer and licensor of microprocessors, having joined in 1994. Mr East
previously worked for Texas Instruments Inc in a variety of roles in the
semiconductor and telecom products divisions. He has a degree in engineering
sciences from Oxford University and an MBA from Cranfield.
He is a non-executive director of Reciva Ltd, a Cambridge start up company
manufacturing internet radios.
Commenting on the appointment Nicholas Brookes, Chairman of De La Rue plc said:
'Warren has valuable experience of growing an international business which
emphasises continued development of technically excellent products. I am sure he
will make a significant contribution to the Board and the strategic direction of
the Group.'
