NEW GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR

De La Rue plc today announces the appointment of Colin Child as Group Finance Director and as an executive director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2010.  Mr Child will join the Company on 10 May 2010.

Mr Child is a Chartered Accountant and has a broad range of financial and commercial expertise.  He was previously Group Finance Director at DTZ Holdings plc, a major global commercial property advisory company, and prior to that he held roles as Group Finance Director at Stanley Leisure Plc, Fitness First Plc and National Express Group Plc.

De La Rue's current Group Finance Director, Simon Webb, wished to stand down as Group Finance Director and as an executive director of the Company to seek a new challenge once a replacement had been identified.  He will therefore leave the Board on 31 May 2010.  As part of an orderly handover, he will continue to assist in the preparation of the accounts for the year ended 27 March 2010 and in presenting the Company's results on 25 May 2010.

Commenting on these changes, Nick Brookes, De La Rue Chairman, said:

There is nothing which is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in respect of Mr Child other than as disclosed above.
