De La Rue plc (the 'Company') on 3 March 2004 received a letter dated 3 March
2004 from LFG Holdings Pty Limited giving notice that, in compliance with Part
VI of the Companies Act 1985, its interest in the Ordinary Shares of 25p each of
the Company is as follows:

'As at the date of this letter LFG Holdings Pty Limited no longer has a
notifiable interest in the relevant share capital of the Company. This change
has resulted from De La Rue plc issuing additional shares.'
