                             DIRECTOR SHAREHOLDING

The Company was today informed that Mr E T W Torr, a director of the Company,
yesterday exercised options over 4,418 ordinary shares of 1p each ('Ordinary
Shares') at an exercise price of £1.29 per share. Following this transaction, Mr
Torr's beneficial interest has increased to 346,832 Ordinary Shares, which
represents approximately 0.68 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share
capital.
