Dickinson Legg Group plc ('DLG'), announces that it has completed the sale of
Spooner Industries Limited and Spooner Inc, its air drying equipment
subsidiaries, for a consideration of £310,000 payable in cash.  Spooner reported
an operating loss before exceptional items of £481,000 on turnover of £9.26
million for the year ended 30 June 2005.


In addition, following the first closing date of the recommended mandatory offer
by European Tobacco Development S.A. for DLG which was at 1p.m. yesterday, Barry
Stephenson and Tom Mackie have resigned, as agreed, as Directors of DLG with
immediate effect.
