The Company was informed on 5 August 2003 that Veer Palthe Voute NV ('VPV') are
now the beneficial owners of 4,468,814 ordinary shares in the Company,
representing approximately 12.29% of the Company's ordinary shares currently in
issue. These shares are registered in the name of ABN Amro Mellon.

Allianz AG is the ultimate holding company of VPV. VPV is a direct subsidiary of
Dresdner Bank Luxembourg S.A. ('DB Lux'), a direct subsidiary of First European
GAMMA Betiligungs GmBH. ('First European), which is a subsidiary of Dresdner
Bank AG ('Dresdner'). Dresdner is a direct subsidiary of Allianz
Finanzbetelligungs GmBH ('Allianz Finanz'), which is itself a direct subsidiary
of Allianz AG. As a result of s203(2) of the Companies Act 1985, DB Lux, First
European, Dresdner, Allianz Finanz and Allianz AG are interested in the ordinary
shares in which VPV are interested.
