Dickinson Legg Group plc announces that it has been informed by a letter dated
20th July 2004 that on 19th July 2004 SG Asset Management purchased 175,000
shares in the Company.  Following this purchase SG Asset Management is now
interested in 3,635,147 shares representing 10 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company.
