                               BOARD ANNOUNCEMENT



       Derwent London appoints David Silverman to the Board of Directors


Derwent London plc is pleased to announce the appointment of David Silverman to
the Board as an Executive Director with immediate effect.


David (38) joined the Company in 2002 from Jones Lang LaSalle where he was an
Associate Director concentrating on the Central London investment market. Since
joining Derwent, he has played an important role in investment acquisitions and
disposals as a senior member of the Executive team.


No further details remain to be disclosed for the appointment as required under
LR 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
