Derwent Valley Holdings PLC 30 October 2006 30 October 2006 Derwent Valley Holdings plc ("Derwent Valley" / the "Company") DERWENT VALLEY LETS 46,419 SQ FT AT JOHNSON BUILDING EC1 TO THOMSON SCIENTIFIC Derwent Valley London Limited, a subsidiary of Derwent Valley Holdings Plc (" Derwent Valley") has let 46,419 sq ft (4,312 sq m) at its 150,000 sq ft (13,900 sq m) Johnson Building, Hatton Garden, EC1, to Thomson Scientific Ltd ("Thomson Scientific"). This transaction follows the recent lettings to Grey Advertising and Faber Maunsell and leaves just one area of approximately 11,000 sq ft (1,020 sq m) on the second floor. Thomson Scientific will occupy the southern half of the first, ground and lower ground floors, as well as the eastern half of the second floor, on a 15 year lease at an annual rent of £1,511,723. The lease includes a 16 month rent free period and an option to break at the end of the tenth year. The rent on the part second floor prime space equates to £40.00 per square foot. The Johnson Building is Derwent Valley's most recently completed project and offers high quality office space around an impressive central atrium.
