As announced earlier today, Derwent London plc (the 'Company') has today issued
46,910,232 new ordinary shares of 5 pence each in connection with the merger of
the Company with London Merchant Securities plc.  Accordingly, in conformity
with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules we notify the market that the
Company's issued share capital consists of 100,566,724 ordinary shares of 5
pence each with voting rights.  No shares are held in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Derwent London plc is
100,566,724.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change of their interest in, Derwent London plc under the
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
