Diageo completes the acquisition of Ursus Vodka Holding N.V

Diageo plc is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Ursus
Vodka Holding N.V., the owner of the Ursus Vodka and Ursus Roter brands. Mantis
A.E.B.E., the current distributor of the brands in Greece, will continue to
distribute the brands until 18 March 2005 when Diageo Hellas SA will assume
distribution.
