announcement released on 22 February 2000 at 11:10 under RNS No 9823F.

The announcement should have stated that application has been made to the London
Stock Exchange AND the Irish Stock Exchange and not just the London Stock
Exchange as previously shown. 

All other details remain unchanged.

Pursuant to the above-named Company's Executive Share Schemes
options over 1,275,473 Ordinary Shares of 28 101/108p each
have been issued. Accordingly, application has been made to
the London Stock Exchange and the Irish Stock Exchange for
these shares to be admitted to the Official List.  The Shares
rank pari passu with the existing issued shares of the
Company.

Announcements Office of the London Stock Exchange for the
period of 2 business days from the date hereof and from The
Registered Office of the Company for the period of 14 days
from the date hereof.
