DIAGONAL PLC
LISTING APPLICATION

Diagonal PLC ('Diagonal') has made applications to the UK Listing Authority
and the London Stock Exchange for the admission to i) the Official List and
ii) trading on the London Stock Exchange's markets for listed securities of
300,318 ordinary shares of 10p each. These new ordinary shares are being
issued in satisfaction of part of the initial consideration for the
acquisition of Claritas Information Security Limited. It is expected that
admission will become effective, and that dealings in these shares will
commence, on 23 July 2001.
