                              AGM UPDATE STATEMENT

Diagonal Plc, the IT consulting and services group, will issue the following
trading update statement at its Annual General Meeting later today:

'We are pleased to report that we have continued to make progress during our
first quarter and Egility Solutions, acquired in February this year, is settling
in well as part of our Diagonal Consulting division. Overall, we remain
confident that we will move forward during the current year to end-November
2004.'
