                              Board Appointment

The Roxboro Group PLC, the international specialist electronic measurement and
lighting group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Jeens to the
main Group Board as a non-executive Director, with immediate effect.

Robert was previously Group Finance Director of Woolwich plc, where he was
part of the executive board responsible for converting the Woolwich from a
building society to a bank. From 1992 to 1996, Robert was Finance Director of
Kleinwort Benson Group plc, where he had a central role in the successful £1
billion sale of the business to Dresdner Bank in 1995.

He replaces Lindsay Bury, who retired from the Group Board at the Annual
General Meeting.
