                              Dividend Declaration



The board of directors of Dialight plc (the 'Company') has confirmed that the
holders of redeemable non-cumulative preference shares of 75 pence each ('B
Shares') in the Company who are on the register at close of business on 29 June
2007 will be paid an interim dividend on 10 July 2007 of 1.41 pence per share
(being 70 per cent. of six month LIBOR) in respect of the period from 1 January
2007 to 30 June 2007 (inclusive) in accordance with the rights attaching to the
B Shares, as set out in the articles of association of the Company.
