following transactions affecting notifiable interests held by the above Company.

          16.08.00     Bought     75,000 Ordinary 5p shares
          05.09.00     Bought     40,000 Ordinary 5p shares
          22.12.00     Bought     50,000 Ordinary 5p shares
          09.01.01     Bought    100,000 Ordinary 5p shares

These transactions take the Trust's holding to 2,040,081 Ordinary 5p shares,
which according to our records, now represents a holding of 8.107% of this class
of capital.

The Shares will be held in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominees Ltd.
