Direct Line Group announces the resignation of Bruce Van Saun

and the appointment of Mark Catton as a Non-Executive Director

 

 

Direct Line Insurance Group plc (the "Company") announces that today Mr Bruce Van Saun has resigned as a Non-Executive Director and Mr Mark Catton has been reappointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

 

The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc ("RBS Group") is entitled, under its Relationship Agreement with the Company dated 26 September 2012, to nominate one Non-Executive Director to the Board while its shareholding in the Company remains 20 per cent. or more. Mr Catton replaces Mr Van Saun as RBS Group's nominee on the Company's Board.

 

The Company's Chairman, Mr Mike Biggs, thanked Mr Van Saun for his contribution to the Board during his time as a Director.

 

Mr Catton has confirmed that he has no directorships to notify in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules other than that he was previously a Non-Executive Director of Direct Line Insurance Group plc from 24 September 2012 to 26 April 2013. In addition, he has advised that he has no details to disclose pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules.
