Delling Group Plc
Teaming Agreement with Lucent Technologies
for next generation mobile marketing services
Delling Group Plc ('Delling Group' or 'the Company'), the marketing support
services group, announces that it has entered into a teaming agreement with
Lucent Technologies Ltd, one of the world leaders in the telecommunications
industry, to provide mobile marketing services for advertisers in both Europe
and the USA.
According to the agreement, Delling Group and LWS (Lucent worldwide services)
will offer a mobile messaging marketing service which combines the iTagTM
solution, provided by their technology company Briscan AB (Sweden) and Advertext
service from LWS.
The iTagTM solution makes ordinary advertisement become interactive. It enables
the end-user to take a photo of the iTagTM pixel code found on the advertisement
and send it in an MMS (Multimedia Message Service) to the iTag server. There,
the iTagTM pixel code is uniquely identified and an interactive marketing
channel is established where the advertiser can interact with the end-user. This
interaction is permission based since the consumer initiates the interaction.
Advertext offers advertisers the ability to append advertisements to personal
text messages using unused spaces with permission of SMS users. It also provides
end users with opt-in/opt-out options and encourages Service Providers to
provide incentives to end users.
Geir Lolleng, Chief Operating Officer of Delling Group, said: 'The iTAG
agreement broadens our interactive offering to clients and also has the
potential to be a serious income generator for Delling Group. It also is a
strategically important step in Delling Group's aggressive move to be a leading
market support service group in Europe, combining outsourcing services for print
and pre-press as well as new digital media like screen advertising, online and
mobile marketing.'
