Dutch Cyclist Wins Silver Medal in Shirt Printed by Directa Plus
Directa Plus (AIM: DCTA), a leading producer and supplier of graphene nanoplatelets based products for use in consumer and industrial markets, is proud to note that Annemiek van Vleuten of the Dutch National Cycling Team won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics in the road race wearing a shirt printed with the Company's patented and proprietary technology, the Thermal Planar Circuit® ("TPC").
The shirts for the Dutch National Cycling Team at the games were made by premium cycling brand, Bioracer, using fabric supplied by Italian company, Taiana, with the unique and high performance print made using Directa Plus's sustainable graphene.
As a result of the Company's G+® graphene's thermal conductivity, TPC absorbs the heat produced by the human body, distributing it inside the garment and dissipating it by interacting with the surrounding environment. This conductivity mechanism supports the natural thermoregulation of the body, providing athletes with a competitive advantage.
Directa Plus's pristine G+® graphene is manufactured in a sustainable manner, without the use of chemicals, by exploiting water and mechanical treatment and so is perfectly suitable for wear next to the skin for all levels of athletes.
Commenting, Giulio Cesareo, Founder and CEO of Directa Plus said: "Congratulations to Annemiek and the Dutch National Cycling Team. We are thrilled to think that our customer's fabric could combine with our G+® technology at our factory at Lake Como to reach the podium in Tokyo."

About Directa Plus
Our focus is principally on the two sectors in which we have strong commercial advantage through developed and launched products and a technological lead: environmental (based on our Grafysorber® product), textiles (based on our G+® products) and, more recently, lithium-sulphur batteries. In addition, we will continue to pursue opportunities in elastomers and composites (including tyres and asphalt), also using our G+® products. All our products are hypoallergenic, non-toxic and sustainably produced.
