Strategic collaboration with The SPECTRUM Group
Collaboration to expand Directa Plus' opportunities into the US military technology sector
Directa Plus (AIM: DCTA), a leading producer and supplier of graphene nanoplatelets based products for use in consumer and industrial markets, announces a strategic collaboration with The SPECTRUM Group ("Spectrum"), a US strategic advisory and government relations firm, to explore the potential of G+® technologies in the US defence sector, ahead of presenting Directa Plus' products at the Annual Meeting of the Association of the United States Army on 9-11 October 2023 in Washington, DC.
Spectrum will leverage its expertise and extensive network to support Directa Plus in driving its business expansion into the military technology sector. Spectrum has a comprehensive understanding of Directa Plus' G+® textile and Grafysorber® technologies, and its potential and extensive applications, and is well placed to educate and gain traction within the US market. Spectrum's customers span a wide spectrum, including startups, Fortune 500 companies, government entities at various levels, and international organisations. The collaboration involves joint efforts in the development of cutting-edge products, including G+® textile technologies (i.e thermal management, antistatic, antimicrobial and thermal camouflage solutions), and Grafysorber technology, with the aim to minimise the time to market for the Group's G+ technologies in the US personal protection and defence sector.
Through this partnership, Directa Plus has been invited to attend the Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting in Washington D.C. in October, where the Group will have the opportunity to engage with US federal entities and explore potential partnerships and opportunities in the US federal sector.
Commenting, Giulio Cesareo, Founder and CEO of Directa Plus, said: "Our collaboration with Spectrum is the result of an introduction and the significant support from General Wesley K. Clark, who joined our board in October 2022.
"Our strategy is to align in personal protection and defence with key partners with a deep understanding of key vertical markets and robust networks. We see this as a platform from which to secure new business in the US. Directa Plus will leverage its track record of our established and proven products, such as Grafysorber and G+® textile applications. "
Lieutenant General John Caldwell, Head of Aerospace and Defence at The SPECTRUM Group added: "The more we learn about Directa Plus, the more confident we are regarding opportunities in the U.S. Defence Sector".

Notes to Editors
Directa Plus (www.directa-plus.com) is one of the largest producers and suppliers of graphene-based products for use in consumer and industrial markets. The Company's graphene manufacturing capability uses proprietary patented technology based on a plasma super expansion process. Starting from natural graphite, each step of Directa Plus' production process - expansion, exfoliation and drying - creates graphene-based materials and hybrid graphene materials ready for a variety of uses and available in various forms such as powder, liquid and paste.
This proprietary production process uses a physical process, rather than a chemical process, to process graphite into pristine graphene nanoplatelets, which enables Directa Plus to offer a sustainable, non-toxic product, without unwanted by-products.
Directa Plus' products are made of hybrid graphene materials and graphene nano-platelets. The products (marketed as G+(R)) have multiple applications due to its properties. These G+(R) products can be categorised into various families, with different products being suitable for specific practical applications.
Directa Plus was established in 2005 and is based in Lomazzo (Como, Italy) and has been listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange since May 2016. Directa Plus holds the Green Economy Mark from London Stock Exchange which recognises companies that contribute to the global green economy.
