                      Appointment of Mr Richard Moon as a
                             Non-Executive Director

On 1 September 2004 Acal plc announced the appointment of Mr Richard Moon as a
non-executive director.

Set out below is the information required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph
16.4 of the Listing Rules.

1. In the last five years Mr Moon has been a director of the following other
publicly quoted companies:-

(a)               Racal Electronics plc
(b)               Thales plc
(c)               IFCO Systems NV
(d)               Netia SA

Of these companies, he is currently a director only of Netia SA.

2.  Mr Moon is currently also a director of Vivista Ltd, Securistyle Ltd, 
Oxford BioSignals Ltd, e-San Ltd and Synergie Business Ltd, and was a director 
of Genod SA until August 2004.

Save as stated above, Mr Moon has no other matters to disclose pursuant to
paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules.
