The Company was informed on 21 January 2004 that Jeffrey Hopmayer, a director of
the Company, is interested in 1,414,143 ordinary shares of 1p each in the
Company ('Ordinary Shares'), representing 2.16 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company, pursuant to his participation in the recent placing and
open offer at a price of 24.5 pence per Ordinary Share. The Ordinary Shares are
registered in the name Circle Nominees Limited.
