The Company was informed on 2 January 2004 by The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. ('GS
Inc') that Goldman Sachs International, a subsidiary of GS Inc, was interested
in 783,600 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company, representing 5.30 per
cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

The Company was further informed on 5 January 2004 by GS Inc that it no longer
has a disclosable interest in the issued share capital of the Company.
