                              HOLDING IN COMPANY


The Company was informed on 9 March 2004 by Artemis Investment Management
Limited ('Artemis') that following a recent purchase of stock Artemis and
certain of its subsidiary companies were interested in 14,250,780 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), representing 21.78 per
cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
