Trading statement
Blavod Extreme Spirits PLC is pleased to give a preliminary update on Christmas
trading.
In the three months ending 31 December the number of cases of spirits sold
increased by a further 18% compared to the same period the year before,
resulting in a total increase in the 9 months of the current financial year of
27% versus the same period a year ago. Blavod Black Vodka case sales increased
by 21% in the three months, which represents a significant increase in
performance compared to the 6% volume growth previously announced in the first
half year. Duty Free worldwide continued to provide the strongest growth driver
for the brand.
Margins and overheads in the UK business are expected to remain at levels
similar to last year.
The Board expect the current trends to continue in the remaining three months of
the fiscal year.
