Drax Group plc

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the listing of 13
ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company to the Official List and to the
London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading.

These shares will be issued so that the number of the Company's existing
ordinary shares is exactly divisible by 32 as per the circular to shareholders,
dated 15 September 2006, concerning the proposed special dividend of 80 pence
per existing ordinary share and share consolidation.

The 13 ordinary shares will rank parri passu with the existing shares in issue.
