Directors' Share Dealings - Charitable Trust
Gordon Horsfield, the Chairman of Drax, and his wife have established a
Charitable Trust the objects of which are educational, social and religious.
In connection with the funding of this Charitable Trust, the Board of Drax has
consented in principle to the sale by him in the market of up to 770,000 shares
in the Company, on which there are no restrictions on transfer, and the transfer
to the Charitable Trust of up to 350,000 shares from the pool of shares he holds
which are currently subject to transfer restrictions. These transfer
restrictions, which will continue to apply in full to the Charitable Trust,
include, inter-alia, a prohibition on the sale of these shares before 15
December 2006.
In accordance with normal market and regulatory requirements, any actual
transactions or transfers pursuant to this statement will be announced formally
as they occur.
