   NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL
                      RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS


The notifications below are all in accordance with DTR 3.1.4 R(1)(a) and DTR
3.1.4 R(1)(b) and the dealings were in respect of ordinary shares of 11 16/29
pence each in the share capital of the Company of which there were 339,397,000
shares in issue at the time of the dealings.


The share interests of the under-noted directors and persons discharging
managerial responsibility have increased following the Award of Free Shares
under the Drax Group plc Approved Share Incentive Plan (the 'Plan') on 15 April
2007. In accordance with the rules of the Plan these shares will be held in
trust by Capita IRG Trustees Limited and registered in the name TD Waterhouse
Nominees (Europe) Limited a/c CESNOMS.

In addition, the under-noted directors and persons discharging manegerial
responsibility have received and award of performance shares under the Company's
Executive Share Incentive Plan ('ESIP'). The ESIP awards were made on 14 April
2008, at nil consideration and the value in this instance is 100% of the
participant's base salary at 31 December 2007. Performance for the 2008 ESIP
award will be measured over the three years from 1 January 2008 to 31 December
2010, with potential vesting in April 2011.
