Further to the announcement made on 3 November 2008, Drax Group plc ('the Company') confirms that David Lindsell has today been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company. 

In addition to David's appointment to the Board, he has also been appointed a member of each of the Audit, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.  

There are no further matters which are required to be disclosed under Rule 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority.
