Director appointment and cessation 

Further to the announcement made on 23 July 2008, Drax Group plc ('the Company') confirms 
that Anthony ('Tony') James Quinlan has today been appointed as Finance Director of the 
Company. 

Tony succeeds Gordon Boyd, who ceased to be a director on 31 August 2008.  

There are no further matters which are required to be disclosed under Rule 9.6.13R of the Listing 
Rules of the Financial Services Authority.
