Drax has received a notification today, from Morgan Stanley, advising that as at
the close of business on 29 September 2006, the interest of Morgan Stanley in
the ordinary share capital of Drax had fallen below 3% and as such Morgan
Stanley no longer has a notifiable interest in Drax.


Prior to this notification the last stated holding of Morgan Stanley, as
announced on 28 September 2006, was of 4.14% of the ordinary share capital of
Drax.


The number of ordinary shares of Drax currently in issue is 407,085,408.
