NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES
On 1 November 2006, Drax received a notification on behalf of Deutsche Bank AG
which advised that Deutsche Bank AG and its subsidiary companies had a
notifiable interest in 21,196,102 ordinary shares of 11 1/29 pence each in Drax
Group plc; this represents approximately 5.75% of the issued share capital of
Drax.
Deutsche Bank AG's previous position (as advised to the Company on 6 October
2006) was that it had an interest in 4.67% of the then issued share capital of
Drax.
For information, the number of ordinary shares of 11 1/29 pence each of Drax
in issue at the date of this notification is 368,921,151.
