Drax Group plc announces that on 23 November 2007 it purchased for cancellation
50,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 685.40 pence per share.

Following the purchase and upon cancellation of these shares, the number of
ordinary shares with voting rights in issue will be 340,764,804.
