Drax Group plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 11 16/29 pence each through J.P. Morgan Securities plc.

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 4,461,883, of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 402,611,319 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
