Drax Group plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 11 16/29 pence each through J.P. Morgan Securities plc.

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 12,841,818, of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 394,351,350 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
